Lakesha Jeffries
Attorney
Ms. Jeffries received a B.A. in English from Columbia College in 2000 and J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2003. She served as an Assistant Attorney General with the S.C. Office of the Attorney General where she handled Post Conviction Relief matters and prosecuted criminal domestic violence cases. In family court cases that involve some element of abuse, Ms. Jeffries draws on her prior prosecutorial experience to provide zealous advocacy.
While an associate attorney with a Midlands area law firm, she defended workers’ compensation insurance carriers before the S.C. Workers Compensation Commission and provided training and legal updates to insurance adjusters. She builds on this intimate experience and skill while now representing injured workers before the S.C. Workers’ Compensation Commission.
She is a member of the S.C. Association for Justice, Orangeburg County Bar Association, S.C. Fee Dispute Board, First Judicial Circuit, S.C. Black Lawyers Association, First Circuit Chair, S.C. Women Lawyers Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, and Jack and Jill of America, Orangeburg Chapter. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army, Orangeburg, and Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce.
